Fortingall is a charming four star country house hotel near Aberfeldy and Kenmore in Perthshire, located at the entrance to Glen Lyon and close to Loch Tay. Located in one of the most beautiful parts of Scotland with spectacular hills, lochs, rivers, woodland and fields. There is an abundance of wildlife including the red squirrel, golden eagles and red deer. Surrounded by wide open spaces where you can walk, climb or cycle, and enjoy the magnificent scenery and all Highland Perthshire has to offer. Fortingall offers world class field sports, fishing and shooting as well as an array of outdoor activities, including proximity to the famous munro mountains Schiehallion and Ben Lawers. The hotel is within easy reach of House of Bruar, Pitlochry, Killin, Blair Castle, Dewar’s World of Whisky and the smallest distillery in Scotland - Edradour. All bedrooms are decorated to a high standard, with luxury en-suite bathrooms featuring both baths and showers.

The Fortingall Hotel is a Victorian built villa, that has not changed dramatically in appearance through the years. The olde world charm and more modern amenities expected of guests in the 21st century mingle with charm and ease. The hotel is a mere stone's throw from the famous Fortingall Yew Tree, said to be the oldest living specimen of living vegetation in Europe! Full Scottish breakfast included. Fortingall has been awarded two AA rosettes for award winning imaginative cuisine using locally sourced produce. The kitchen has a long history of producing high quality food and talented chefs. Dinner is served in either the stylish Arts and Crafts dining room, or the Yew dining room, which offers intimacy and exclusive dining facilities. From morning coffees to afternoon teas to snacks and lunches and dinners there are many dining options at Fortingall including sitting out in the sunshine and taking in the stunning views. Food (and occasionally live folk music) are also served in the traditional, cosy pub the “Ewe” bar. The hotel has WiFi facilities within the library which also houses daily newspapers. Although there is not a television within the lounge, there is a flat screen TV in the Public Bar. The hotel does not have laundry facilities for guests as such, but wet clothes will always be dried!
