Poplars is a 17th century farmhouse tucked away in the heart of Constable Country. It is situated on its own in a very peaceful setting amongst fields and trees, yet only a short walking distance from the picturesque village of Stoke by Nayland. Accommodation is available in four individually designed bedrooms which are ensuite, spacious and are decorated with antique furniture, quality furnishings and period features. Choose from a choice of 3 King size bedrooms and 1 twin/super King which overlook the gardens and woodland. Poplars Farmhouse is ideally located for exploring the surrounding area and places of interest including Stoke by Nayland, Nayland Golf Club, Dedham Vale, Flatford and East Bergholt, historic Lavenham, Long Melford, Kentwell Hall, Melford Hall and Colchester.

17th Century Farmhouse with many original features such as sash windows, beams and fireplaces. Breakfast is included in the price and includes a variety of foods including Dorset Mueslis, organic yoghurt with selections of fruits and nuts, toast/bread, cooked English breakfast using local produce and free range eggs. Spinach, cheese and pepper frittata, leek and potato croquettes, omelettes and beverages. There are 2 local pubs and restaurants which serve food at lunch times and evenings. The gardens extend around the house and lead down to a stream amongst the surrounding trees. There is plenty of wildlife to look out for including, green woodpeckers, pheasants, deer, rabbits, owls, moles and squirrels. All bedrooms are equipped with the following facilities; television with Freeview, tea & coffee making facilities, DVD player, hair dryer, internet access and upon request; iron & ironing board, champagne bucket, flutes/wine/whiskey glasses. There is a selection of wellingtons and mountain bikes that guests may use during their stay. Well behaved dogs may stay with you for an additional charge, please book as an upgrade.

Check In: 4.00pm-6.00pm Check Out: 11.00am Directions: By Car: From London/Colchester Take the A134 from Colchester towards Sudbury. As you cross the Suffolk border turn right on the B1087 for Nayland and Stoke by Nayland. Just as you are leaving Nayland turn left into Gravel Hill, continue for 1.2 miles. After a sharp right bend there is a sharp left bend, here take the concrete to the right (effectively straight on) We are 50 yards along on the right. From Bury St. Edmunds/Sudbury Take the A134 and turn left for Stoke by Nayland on the B1068. After passing the Stoke by Nayland Golf Club, continue for 0.8 mile. At a small crossroads signed ‘Stoke Tye’ (to the left) turn right signed ‘By Road’. Continue for 0.6 mile to the bottom of the hill, at a sharp right hand bend turn left along a concrete drive. We are 50 yards along on the right. From Ipswich Take the B1068 to Stoke by Nayland, wind through the village passing the school on your left and out the other side. At a small crossroads signed ‘Stoke Tye’ (the the right) turn left signed ‘By Road’. Continue for 0.6 mile to the bottom of the hill, at a sharp right hand bend turn left along a concrete drive. We are 50 yards along on the right.
