Tigh Na Leigh, pronounced 'Tie na lee' is a small guest house that is big on hospitality, great food and quality service. With only 5 luxurious bedrooms all in the main house, guests enjoy very personal attention. Relax by the log fire in the main lounge, or grab a book, a CD or a DVD and retreat to your room for a while. Soak away aches and pains of an active day in your en suite spa bath. Single and twin rooms available and minimum of two night stays at the weekends, please see Available Rooms for promotion codes.

Tigh Na Leigh (Gaelic for the house of the Physician) was purpose built for the local doctor Mr. Kidd by the Earl of Airlie in 1873 and served as the town doctor's home and surgery for more than 100 years. Restoring the Victorian townhouse to its former glory and landscaping and planting the extensive garden have been a labour of love for over 4 years. During that time a few treasures have been discovered (clay pipes, marbles, horseshoes, rusty nails, medicine bottle stoppers, nurses calling cards) and have heard many a story from townsfolk who remember being treated in the now Reading Room. Breakfast is served in the Conservatory Dining Room between 8.00am and 10.00am with a buffet of seasonal choice of fresh local berries and fruit, cereals and muesli, nuts and seeds as well as a selection of yogurt. Follow this with a pick from the cooked breakfast menu  'the full Scottish' with blackpudding, bacon, sausages and egg or a wonderful light fluffy omelette with a choice of fillings or 'the american' - a thick slice of ham with 2 eggs any style. If you wish to have dinner, please call on your arrival day to reserve a table and discuss the menu. All produce is sourced locally and vegetarians are catered with gusto - all the vegetables and herbs used come from the kitchen garden or surrounding organic farms when ever possible. A small but nice selection of wines, beers and spirits and of course a wee dram compliments the menus. The garden was a blank canvas and with the help of local builders an undulating landscape with secluded areas, was created including a large pond and the planting of approx. 500 heathers, 60 trees and countless shrubs and perennials. The kitchen garden produces many herbs, salads and vegetables that are usually not commercially grown - so expect purple and yellow beans next to lamb chops, cherry tomatoes in all shapes & colours in your side salad, apples, plums and even purple grapes are used in our desserts. Free WiFi broadband access is available. On the ground floor you will find a lounge with a log fire (on cooler evenings) and the TV room. In the Reading Room find a wide variety of books, magazines and the daily papers. Brochures for activities and maps to plan your day are on hand, as well as a computer with broadband internet access. Drying facilities, a secure garage for Bicycles and Motorbikes, storage for golf bags and angling gear are also provided. 60 golf courses including St Andrews, Carnoustie and Gleneagles are less than 1 hours drive. Historic and Royal Scotland are day trips away, Glamis, Scone Palace, Balmoral or Falkland Palace are in a 35 mile radius.
