Tips for international students who want to work in the UK

29 July 2016

As the UK is one of the most expensive countries, major students should consider job opportunities during their study. Waitressing, Hospitality and Call Center Operatives are the most popular jobs for students; it is rare for students to find employment in the field that they are studying for.

There is a wide range of jobs available for students, however, there are some restrictions such as:

  • Running a Business
  • Working as a Professional Sportsman or Coach
  • Full Time Permanent Employment
  • Employment as a Doctor or Dentist

How many hours can a student work?

Employment terms and the maximum number of hours a student is allowed to work during their study is indicated on their visa. Students must carefully check their visa particulars before seeking employment.
