The historic 14th Century Eckington Manor, on the borders of the beautiful Cotswolds and just two hours from London, offers relaxed luxurious accommodation with a unique English style. Set amidst its own 260-acre farm nestling on the River Avon, the Manor specialises in fresh homegrown food. Attention to detail, from silk wallpaper, antler chandeliers, Siberian goose down pillows and restored antique furniture to highly trained welcoming staff who go out of their way to ensure the personal comfort of every guest, Eckington Manor is a very special place to visit. Time at Eckington Manor can be spent brushing up on cookery skills, relaxing in the luxurious bedrooms, sampling some of the delicious foods on offer or simply soaking up the countryside air. Choose from classic, luxury, deluxe and suite bedrooms which are all ensuite and e individually furnished with a large comfortable bed with Egyptian cotton bed linen.
Dating back to over 700 years the property has been carefully restored whilst retaining period features and character. Food is a passion at Eckington Manor, combining British and European cuisine with the odd dish from further afield to create diverse and imaginative menus that incorporate locally grown produce from both the manor farm and the surrounding area. Breakfasts are freshly cooked to order, seasonal a la carte menus for lunch or dinner and afternoon light bites are all available, as well as picnic hampers to enjoy on the lawn or for a spectacular trip to the surrounding countryside. The restaurant is open for lunch, Bar and Terrace menu available for light bites, Tuesday - Saturday: 10.00am – 2.30pm and dinner Tuesday - Saturday: 6.30pm - 9.00pm. At the heart of Eckington Manor is the farm, home to award-winning pedigree herds of Aberdeen Angus and Highland cattle; Lleyn sheep; and Gloucester Old Spot Pigs. Consisting of 260 acres of water meadow pasture, based on the River Avon and located in an area of outstanding natural beauty, guests are able to walk on the footpaths surrounding the farm and enjoy much of the entertainment daily farm life has to offer! Lambing and calving times can be very exciting, grab a pair of binoculars and stroll to the hides where an abundance of British birds can be seen or try and spot “Raffles” the farm cat on his daily rounds. All bedrooms include a flat screen TV, direct dial telephone and complimentary Wi-Fi, Fired Earth ensuite shower rooms, fluffy towels and White Company toiletries. Book a cookery course at Eckington Manor’s state of the art cookery school which teaches the cook the story of food: from garden fork to dinner fork. Check In: 4.00pm Check Out: 10.00am Directions: By Car: Located a short distance from the M5 between junction 7 (Worcester South) and junction 9 (Tewkesbury). From the North: Exit the M5 at junction 7 (Worcester South). Take the first exit left (B4084) signed to Pershore. Continue on this road into Pershore and take the first major turn on the right (A4104) signed to Cheltenham. Leave Pershore and continue along the road until the brow of a hill. Take the second turn on the left (B4080) at the top of the hill, signed Eckington. Continue over the bridge and into Eckington, taking the first turn on the right by the war memorial into Drakesbridge Road. Continue to the end of the road and turn into the lane straight ahead, on the corner. The entrance to the Eckington Manor Cookery School is on the left. From the South: Exit the M5 at junction 9 (Tewkesbury). Take the third exit (A46) signed to Evesham. Continue straight on this road through two sets of junction traffic lights, past the army depot, to the next set of traffic lights by the Queen’s Head pub. Turn left at these lights on the B4079 signed Eckington and Pershore. Continue along this road into Bredon. At the T junction, turn left. After approximately 200 metres, take the first turn on the right (B4080) signed Pershore and Eckington. Continue into Eckington, past the church, taking the first turn on the left by the war memorial into Drakesbridge Road. Continue to the end of the road and turn into the lane straight ahead, on the corner. The entrance to the Eckington Manor Cookery School is on the left. By train from London: There is a direct train service to Pershore from London Paddington, which takes approximately one hour and fifty minutes.
