Centrally-located and well-appointed, the St Edmund Hall Guest House is less than a 10-minute walk from central Oxford, an ideal base for guests to explore the wealth of local attractions on their doorstep, whether by foot, cycle, bus, train, car or even a relaxing punt down the river. With access to fast and regular public transport links just around the corner, the Isis is also an ideal base for day trips to London. The guest house aims to provide a quality service and prides itself on its friendliness, to make guests' stay in Oxford an enjoyable experience. Offering accommodation during July, August and September, providing single, twin, double and family rooms with standard and en-suite facilities to suit most people's needs. Group bookings are most welcome. Should guests wish to visit the main site at St Edmund Hall, it is open to guest house residents throughout the summer where they can stroll through the College Quad and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the churchyard of St Peter-in-the-East. The College is located on Queen’s Lane just off the High St, and only a 10-minute walk from the St Edmund Hall Guesthouse which is situated on the Iffley Road.

St Edmund Hall Guest House is one of Oxford University's 37 Colleges. Purchased in the 1980s by St Edmund Hall, the Guest House is used to house 3rd year Students for nine months of the year. During the summer the College opens the Guest House to visitors from across the globe. All guests can look forward to a Full English Breakfast every morning between 7.45am and 9.30am, served by the attentive waiting staff. If guests have any dietary requests, please can this be noted in the 'Additional Information' section of the booking form. There is a great selection of eateries in Oxford with some eclectic offerings within a few hundred metres of the Guest House on Cowley Road and St Clements. Guests are invited to ask at reception for futher information. Christ Church Meadow is a short walk away; the Meadow is a great place to relax. There is a lovely tree-lined walk down to the river Isis and there are lots of grass areas which would make an ideal spot for a picnic. Guests could also spend an afternoon in the famous Botanical Gardens, while punt and rowing boat hire can be found below Magdalen Bridge, which is just a 5 minutes’ walk from the Isis Guesthouse. Wireless internet access is free Public laundry facilities are available, as are an iron and ironing board for guests to use. The reception team can help at any time should assistance be required. Hair dryers and alarm clocks can be requested (subject to availability); these can be borrowed from the reception team.

Arrival information

Please report to St Edmund Hall Guest House, 45-53 Iffley Road, Oxford OX4 1ED to check in at the reception. Luggage can be stored if guests arrive early or want to make the most of their last few hours in Oxford after check out. Directions: By Car: Situated on the Iffley Road: Sat Nav users please use the OX4 1ED post code. There is a small car park available on a first come first served basis. There is also a public car park with pay and display facilities within a 5 minute walk. By Train: Walking from the station takes approximately 30 mins. Should guests have luggage to carry, it is suggested they take a taxi from outside Oxford Station. Alternatively they could catch the No 5 bus and ask to be dropped off at the 1st stop on the Cowley Road. It is then a question of crossing the road, then walking to the end of Circus Street, and St Edmund Hall Guest House is on the left. By Air: Guests can take the Airline bus to Oxford and are advised to ask the driver to drop them off in St Clements then follow the direction of the bus until they reach the Plain Roundabout. They should then take the second exit on the roundabout (Iffley Road), walk for 200 metres and will find the residence on their left. Reception is just inside the front door.
