The College is perfectly located to access Oxford-based events. The newly opened Westgate Centre is also within easy reach. Being in the City Centre of Oxford, there is easy access to Coach/Bus/Railway links, travelling to London, Bicester Villiage, and The Cotswolds. If you need to find out more information, Oxford Tourist Information Centre is located on Broad Street, about 3 minutes walk from Jesus College.
Founded in 1571, Jesus College is the only College in either Oxford or Cambridge to have been founded during the reign of Elizabeth I. In 1974, the College became one of the first five men’s colleges to admit women. Famous alumni include T.E. Lawrence (‘Lawrence of Arabia’); Norman Manley (former Prime Minister of Jamaica); and Harold Wilson (former Prime Minister of Britain during the 60s/70s), whose Order of the Garter banner can be seen in the Chapel. Full English breakfast is served between 8:00 - 9:00 am daily in the Elizabethan Dining Hall. All bedrooms have tea and coffee making facilities. Guests are welcome to relax in the College grounds, visit the Chapel, and view the portraits in the Dining Hall. Turl Street bedrooms are accessed via stairs only. Ship Street Centre bedrooms are accessed via lift/elevator/stairs. Complimentary WiFi access. Laundry and ironing facilities are available in College. The Scout (Housekeeping) will service your room on a daily basis from Monday to Saturday.
Please check-in and check-out at the Lodge/Reception. Luggage storage is available at the Lodge on the day prior check-in and after check-out. The lovely staff are looking forward to meeting you! The Park & Ride services are suggested to guests travelling by car.
